A modern addition to a period style dwelling on an irregular shaped site. The brief was to create a new Living Wing to the rear of the house, and retain a Liquid Amber tree. Taking the main constraint of the lot shape, we embraced it to create a striking contemporary new wing with a bold facade, whilst maximising the internal areas with cathedral ceilings & full height glazing. The design frames around a central courtyard overlooking the Liquid Amber, while creating a true sense of private entertaining .
